Don't even think about buying this unit.
I bought this portable A/C less than two months ago. First, it made a lot of fan noise and the compressor actually seemed to malfunction the very first day. As time went on, it became noisier and cooled less and less. Unfortunately, I did not get it back to HomeDepot within the 30 day return period... Read full review »
lasted almost 12 years
This portable air worked great and lasted me almost 12 years with no problem. It was only recently i got rid of it because it was very old and i want a newer model.
I wish fedders would manufacture this model again. It was nice looking and a powerful air conditioner.

Totally unreliable. You can do better.
I bought this unit from Home Depot where it carries a Maytag brand name. The fan that removes the hot air burnt out in a half-day.
