The Bottom Line:
It works like it says it is supposed to, and it works like that for a long time(mine is two years old and still works like new).
Let me start off by saying that the 256 MB IBM Memory Key is an excellent solution to a whole bunch of problems. There is finally an easy way to share pictures, documents, music, and even short movies with anyone. The IBM 256 MB Memory Key can also be used to back up information very quickly. If you want to you can even run small programs off of the IBM 256 MB Memory Key. After this description some people might think that this product is the size of a cell phone, but it is not it is smaller than a matchbox car. Now you might be thinking that this Memory Key probably breaks extremely easily, but that is not true. I have personally dropped my memory key down a flight of stairs, and it did not even scratch the case.
Let me expand on how easy it is to copy documents, pictures, music, and movies. First you plug the Memory Key into your computer. Then a window pops up automatically, and you can drag and drop all of the files that you want to transfer into the window. Next you take the Memory Key from your computer's USB, and put it in the computer that you want to transfer the files to. The same window pops up and there are the files that you placed on your Memory Key earlier. To copy them to the second computer you just have to drag and drop the files you want to the desktop. It is as easy as that, and it all takes only about a minuet.
If you want to use your memory key to back up important documents on your computers hard drive all you have to do is plug the Memory Key into your USB slot and the same window pops up. Once again all you have to do is drag the files you want to back up onto the memory key. Now you can unplug your memory key and rest knowing that your own important documents are all safe on your memory key. If you want you can even use the software that comes with your memory key to encrypt the memory key with a password so that no one else can have access to your important documents.
Can you believe that all these features are found on a durable piece of plastic that is about the size of a matchbox car! I did not until I got the IBM 256 MB Memory Key in the mail. If you need even more memory you can upgrade to the 512 MB memory card which is roughly the same size, but can hold twice as much. I have had a totally great experience with my IBM 256 MB Memory Key, and I have recommended it to many friends. Every one of my friends that have also bought an IBM Memory Key has had no problems with it. That's why I have taken the time to write this review to inform other people of the great solution to many problems.
