Quiet and Powerful, but has unusual electronic controls.
After a turn of bad luck with a 5,000 BTU Fedders unit I bought at Wal-Mart, I saw this small unit at Sears and decided for the price, it couldn't be beat.
After removing it from the box, and reading over the installation instructions, I was pretty much on my own fitting the window kit...

Model Number 74055 Has Electronic Controls
We've long considered adding a window A/C to our bedroom, especially since it faces the setting sun. Our slider-type windows provide a clear opening only about 2 ft wide, so we needed a very narrow design. If you really want to stay cool, this isn't for you!
My husband bought this unit for me last year when he went to Sears. I guess the price was attractive and he knows how I suffer when the weather is hot.
