It's the only battery available for these cameras. I've learned through bitter experience that in order to keep it's life stronger, you should not deplete it completely each time you use the camera. Sometimes, even after on a few photos, recharge it. Of course, my batteries are 5 years old, and maybe age is an issue too, I don't know.
