My old digital camera is just about dead. You can still take pictures with it, but it's a toss up as to whether the picture will come out clear or blurry, we needed to replace it.

One day my husband came home with the Olympus D-540 Zoom, he used the excuse that we needed to replace our... Read full review »

I've owned this camera for over 2 yrs. It has proven to be durable, dependable, and has consistently produced great pictures. I finally decided to take the plunge and get a digital camera. This was primarily a decicion of necessity, since my SLR is tied up in Florida and I'm in Missouri (long story). I also am getting started selling things on Ebay and the prospect of going to the traditional photo lab, having to wait... Read full review »

Pros Beautiful LCD, nice button feel, simple operation, ISO 400 good for natural light shots.
Cons UNACCEPTABLY SHORT BATTERY LIFE. Period.

Already being the owner of a megazoom camera and being pretty satisfied with it, I decided it was time to purchase a smaller camera that could easily fit in a pocket. The FujiFilm FinePix S5000 has 10X optical zoom but, because of the rather large lens, is awkward to get in and out of my pants. For... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use, good picture quality, optical zoom.
Cons Battery hog! xD cards are expensive and not well supported.

This is a fairly competent budget-priced 3.2 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom. It has a movie feature (QuickTime format, and no audio by the way) that's about as good as you can expect on a camera of this sort; but really it's basically a still camera. Autofocus time is nothing exciting,... Read full review »

Ever since all my friends started taking pictures with their digital cameras and putting them online on "Webshots," I have always wanted a digital camera of my own. I loved the idea of being able to look at the pictures directly after taking them, and deleting the ones I did not want. However, I... Read full review »
