Introduction
I've been in the market for an expandable phone set for my home now for a while, and finally buckled down and took some action. I ended up going with the 5.8ghz Panasonic Expandable Cordless Phone set, model KX-TG5571M and purchasing two(it's expandable to 8) additional handsets... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use, clear display, expands up to 8 handsets
Cons Caller ID list is *not* shared between phones!!
Recommended it? No

I bought this phone to replace my faithful Siemens expansion phones that are on their last legs, after years of use. I'm going to return the Panasonic phones today -- they have two irritating features that I just can't live with. They don't share the caller ID list, so if you clear the caller ID... I have owned this phone for about two weeks and I love it. It has lots of features not found on other cordless phones. My kids love the ability to download ring tunes and customize tunes for each caller. I love the "joystick" in the handset. I have found the answering machine easy to use... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use, speakerphones on each unit
Cons Contact deletion could be better

This phone has been great - we've had it for about 6 months now and have yet to run into any problems. I wanted it for two reasons: speakerphone and no interference with my wireless router.

The base and the handset both have speakerphones - this has been the most useful feature. Even if... Read full review »

Pros Higher quality phone with a lot of great options.
Cons accidentally turns on easy. top heavy and easily falls over.

I bought this set at Staples with an additional extension handset. I paid around $250 for the pair.
I like the phone and it's options. You can access the answering machine through the hand set. The phone has good battery life so no complaints there. Good caller ID capacity.

The phone... Read full review »

Pros Very well designed and excellent features
Cons A little pricey but worth every penny
Recommended it? Yes

After two weeks of use I can only praise this phone. Sound quality is excellent. Being able to assign different ringtones to specific callers is a very useful feature. The verbal caller ID could use some improvement but still better than any of the competition.

I would never want to go... Read full review »

solid phone, but advanced features feel like beta versions

Pros Solid phone with good sound
Cons advanced features feel like works in progress
Recommended it? Yes

Examples of rough edges:

(a) you can record sounds or music via an audio cable to use as new ringtones (nice). BUT it only works on that handset. To get the same new ringtone all through the house you have to record it at each handset.

(b) You can associate each... Read full review »
