Having had a cellular phone for years, I wanted something that offered more functionality and connectivity to the internet and email.  That's how I ended up getting myself a Blackberry Curve 8310 on the AT&T network.

I recently decided to change over from my Palm Treo to a BlackBerry while looking into the Motorola Q and Samsung Blackjack. After a thorough review of the three, I decided to go with the Curve for its email capability, size and battery life. I really liked my Treo but the call quality left me... Read full review »

RIM throws us a Curve

21 Helpfuls 22 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Core functionality; battery life; display
Cons Poor ergonomics
Recommended it? No

I’ve reviewed several BlackBerry devices over the past few years.  After discarding my first-generation BlackBerry as a clunky annoyance, I have become a steady (if slow) adopter of the RIM's smartphone device as a valuable productivity tool.  However, like the incidence of twins and some diseases,... The Blackberry 8310 Throws Me a Curve

Pros A large screen and easily managed e-mail make it a good business tool.
Cons Confusing menus, poor data transfer speed and small keys.
Recommended it? Yes

A few months ago I was issued a Blackberry Curve for work. As a result I’ve become addicted to checking my e-mail at odd hours of the day (and night), but I’ve also got a pretty good scoop on what does and what doesn’t work well in one of Research In Motion’s more popular products, the... I bought this smartphone from Ebay a little more than a year ago. Unboxing my gold Blackberry Curve 8310 was a moment to remember. It was sleek and beautiful and ready for my pocket. Pros New update to OS (4.5) makes Blackberry Curve a very useful and full featured phone.
Cons Weak gps, washed out screen, must purchase a blackberry plan.

[editor's update Jan 17,'09: I added a very important update at the end of this review.  New OS update really improves The Blackberry Curve.  Probably should redo the review, but I'll leave the original anyway. ]

I work for a company with a rather impulsive IT & Purchasing department... Read full review »

Simple Business Phone

Pros Professional phone, qwerty keyboard, other bonus features such as games & media.
Cons Doesn't take video, setup was a little confusing, needs to reboot sometimes.
Recommended it? Yes

I had a Motorola Razor and I had a Sony PDA, so I decided it was time to reduce the number of electronic devices I carried during the day. I must admit that my purchase was more of an impulse buy and that I didn't do as much research as I usually do before buying electronics.

I chose the... Read full review »

I bought this phone for $58.88 at Wal-Mart as part of a contract renewal. Overall I've been pleased with it. I have encountered some problems with it.
