The best picture possible
I shopped for a TV for near 6 months. I was having my house built so I was in no hurry. I couldn't afford a 8000$ plasma and didn't like that once this picture is out on a plasma then you are just supposed to chunk it.

DLP Light Burn out problems

Terrible company
I bought this TV, because of the superior picture, it WAS absolutely wonderful. Great picture and pretty nice sound. Only 8 months after warranty is out, it now needs a DMD board, and something else, almost 1500.00 in parts and labor. I can buy a new one cheaper. Samsung "customer service" was NO... When we first took delivery, the unit we got had a broken mirror inside (must have gotten knocked hard in transit), so we took it back and got a replacement. Things to consider
We purchased this TV at Costco At first I was very pleased with the picture and sound.
But after a few days I noticed that if you moved to one side or the other the picture would go black.
And anything white would have black lines flickering through it.
