I haven't seen this model in stores for a long time, so I presume it's been discontinued. This update is for both consumers who are weighing purchasing a new player (if they exist) or a used player. There may be a surprising number of the latter being sold.

Lots of great features; sure wish they worked
It starts out alright, and for music CDs it's fine. The UI is a little awkward (up/down volume buttons on side are not easy to grab and adjust without looking, and the small display is recessed enough that the slightest shadow can make it illegible) but it would be fine as a $20 player. some problems
i have the sony dnf 400 ive had it 2 years now but i have to say i thought sony were good but this player on occasions skips now i use all clean cds on it some shop bought some cd-r ones and i clean the laser lens with the cd cleaner i have. but still only happens now and again it jumps like u can... Versatile MP3 CD player
I have owned this mp3 CD player for 6 months - and i listen to it 10-20 hours per week.
Very good interface compared with other portable electronic devices I have used. Buttons are intuitive and most features can be figured out without reading the manual-which is always a plus.
