Cons So much to do you cannot make it through the alphabet in one sitting
Recommended it? Yes

Dr. Seuss's ABC brought to interactive life could not be better! The color, animation, and soundtrack is not only an attention grabber, but an attention keeper.

This CD-ROM follows the book in terms of a different character and scene for each letter of the alphabet. For example, Aunt... Read full review »

Pros Cute characters, great graphics, terrific tool for learning
Cons Really only good for children ages 4 and under
Recommended it? Yes

Lately my four year old spends more time on the computer than I do. However, if he is spending that time playing this CD I cannot complain. This is a terrific way for your child to learn to use the computer and learn the letters and alphabet too.

Installing this CD was very easy. Put the... Read full review »

Pros Multiple surprising interactive hot spots
Cons none
Recommended it? Yes

I have not been a great fan of living books. My children tend to find them boring after the first time, and they are then discarded. This program is the exception.

Based on the classic Dr. Seuss ABC book, each letter of the alphabet has its own page. There are some great interactive hot... Read full review »

Pros Upbeat, engaging. Game mode is easy to use
Cons at times screen savers seem to muck up the CD
Recommended it? Yes

The Dr. Seuss Living Books are the best examples of Living Books. We have 3 of them, Dr. Seuss' ABC, Green Eggs & Ham and The Cat in the Hat. My son loves all three.

Dr. Seuss' ABC in itself is a classic book for kids. The interactive CD is a classic for the digital age. The main... Read full review »

I find this one to be an excellent teaching tool for a group of children to use together. I put this one on the computer and sit down with two on my lap and the other three on chairs on either side. We all take turns using the mouse to click all the STUFF and try to catch the "hiding guy."

We purchased this title for my nephew last year but decided to test it out by playing it before giving it to him.

My two year old loved being able to click through the story and see what happened. The Dr. Seuss stories and games have consistently been of high quality and this is no... Read full review »

What fun to watch a book from my childhood come alive on the computer. Living Books (Random House and Broderbund Company) has done it again. They have created another excellent storybook on CD for our children to enjoy.

Dr. Seuss's ABC's is set up so that children can either have the story... Read full review »

Although we have plenty of Seuss books around he just hasn't yet won over my children. But his game for toddlers certainly has. The product comes with a two CD-set. The first is the game itself and the 2nd is a printable workbook.

The game is very easy for the children to use. In fact I... Read full review »

My 3 year old daughter loves Dr. Seuss books. So when we looked for educational software this caught our eye. We never knew how much fun it would be. Even my husband loves this CD because it can be different each time you use it. Each screen is full of fun Seuss-style pictures and animals.

This game may have that familiar "Dr.Seuss" label, but I really do not think this is a good buy for kids. They can probably learn more by watching cartoons. The game is only mildly interactive.

My three-year-old son, who loves computer games, got bored with this one very quickly. There... Read full review »
