I will squash you like the little worm that you are! Again!
I was lucky enough to discover this little game in the arcades a couple of years back. I thought it would suck, but upon playing it for a few minutes I realized that it offered some high intensity action and a completely different way to approach one on one fighting. You got to see everything from... Read full review »
Who needs the Twin Sticks!!!
Seriously people. After playing the game 2 months straight with my brother, I have come to the conclusion that playing the game with the DC controller is actually the best way to master the game.
Don't listen to those critics who say that ,without them, many aspects of the game are lost...

Virtually Off... all the time!
When I first experienced Virtual On at the arcades for the first time, I was mesmerized by this game that had all the elements of a Mecha Action game, yet it had two-player support. I acquired this game for my Sega Saturn and played it for many moons till I had to sell my Saturn as I had too many... Read full review »
Best Mech Fighter Ever
A few years ago, a game was released on the Sega Saturn and Arcade that revolutionized all Mech Fighters forever. I remember playing this game for the first time at my local arcade. I was so blown away by this game, that I immediately purchased it when I found out that it was released on the... Read full review »
Virtually Insane Action, Realistically Frustrating!
I had read many reviews of this futuristic fighter, both at Epinions.com, and in many gaming magazines, before I made the decision to purchase it. Almost everything I read touched on the subject of this game's control set-up, and with good reason, Virtual-On: Oratorio Tangram has one of the highest... Read full review »
Disappointment on a Disc.
Man, this is one of the titles I was really looking forward to. The first installation of this game was absolutely awesome in the arcades, but sadly lacking on the Sega Saturn. I was hoping that the power and hardware of the DC would rectify that, but apparently, Virtual On is just something that... Read full review »
Virtual Perfection
Virtual On has the notoriety of being the underdog at the arcades. The large, 2-seat cabinet and complicated twin-stick control scheme, as well as it's $1-per-play cost, can really turn away some gamers. However, like the original Saurn Virtual On, when you bring Virtual On: oratorio tangram to... Read full review »
robots beating the hell out of eachother, whats not to love?
Graphics
Arcade perfect. The mechs are wonderfully detailed, and the moves are cool. Not to mention the detail and quality of the bosses. Although for some reason i felt there was something missing, i dont know why, however the graphics are still top of the line.

GIMME MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Virtual On could have been revolutionary, it could have been Dream's best fighting game, but altogether I found it to be a passing phase type of pleasure. Not that there is anything horrible about the game, no way, just that after a while the whole experience of playing in a giant robot gets... Read full review »
Just like the original only in dreamcast colors
Sega's style of Mech fighting. This game is much like the original only with the power of the dreamcast, with every aspect revamped: the mechs are faster, better looking, and the explosions are bigger. The Mech design is still unique, and although the graphics aren't groundbreaking, the mechs still... Read full review »

Sega Dreamcast Virtual On Oratorio Tangram (new) For Dc
What's better than a mechanized warrior from the arcade classic VIRTUAL ON? Try one of its deadly successors from this awesome sequel. You control one of several robotic beasts from the delicate Angelan to the big, powerful Raiden as you try to wipe out your competition in a series of lush, 3D environments. There are lots of buildings and other structures to use for protection, but beware: someone else might choose the same hiding spots. Don't expect to find Rosie from THE JETSONS; these bots are dangerous.

Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram
The first question we couldn't help asking ourselves after a few minutes of playing Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram was "Why?" More specifically, we asked why Activision would go to all the trouble of converting this game perfectly from its arcade counterpart only to stiff gamers by not letting them program the controller? Oratorio Tangram is all about perfect control--the arcade version uses a pair of sticks that allow for all types of moves--and this Dreamcast version contains only a handful of preset controller configurations. None of them work well, and it really hurts the gameplay. Control issues aside, this is one of the most visually stunning Dreamcast titles available. The graphics are simply eye-popping, and the loud sound effects are perfectly appropriate for a giant-robot game like Oratorio Tangram. If you've ever wanted a title to show off your Dreamcast to friends, this game will do the job nicely, and it doesn't hurt that the two-player mode is more fun than the single-player game since both players suffer from the same controller limitations. With just one little addition (programmable controls), this game would have been near perfect. As it stands, the game is good-looking, but doesn't have it where it counts. --T. Byrl Baker Pros: Stunning graphics Tons of mechs to play with Cons: Inability to program the controller means many moves are impossible to pull off
