Legendary Crossmax mountain durability, stiffness and performance are now available in a 29er wheelset. The Mavic C29ssmax disc wheelset is smartly adapted to deliver extremely low inertia. Lightweight, UST Tubeless wheels are made for epic rides on technical terrain. ISM® rims and hubs optimize rigidity and weight to reduce inertia and increase climbing power. A Mavic exclusive, Maxtal aluminum is 30% stronger than 6061 aluminum, yielding light and lively rims. Force Transfer System X (FTS-X) freewheel system is exceptionally hard-wearing and friction resistant to meet the demands of intense riding. Sealed cartridge bearings are easily removed and maintained; plus, they're micro-adjustable to match various riding conditions. Rim joints are welded and milled to eliminate shuddering during braking and provide superior wheel balance. Rim's upper bridges are left undrilled, effectively increasing the wheel's rigidity and friction resistance. Features strong yet lightweight Zicral® aluminum spokes. Front hub is compatible with standard 9mm quick-releases or 15mm thru-axles. UST Tubeless tire and wheel design eliminates the rim tape and tube for increased performance and weight savings. Isopulse lacing design and mounting brings improved wheel stability, a constant spoke tension and crystal clear transmission of energy. Please note: If using with regular tires and inner tubes, do not use rim tape.
