Composed of our favorite lots from vintage, our 2008 SVR Reserve blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Verdot into powerful wine that marries concentrated richness with an inviting approachability. Winemaker Alison Crary characterizes wine's intense, oak-influenced character as a black profile showing graphite, licorice, cedar and mocha over dark cherry and ripe plum. fruit of this vintage is more subdued than usual, adopting barrel notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate as dominant flavors. Chewy tannins structure finish as red fruit, dark chocolate and brown sugar linger on finish.

Our 2009 Sterling Vineyards Napa Valley Chardonnay displays elegant ripe apple and lemon-custard aromas, with intriguing floral and cinnamon-spice notes. Lush tropical fruit and poached pear flavors culminate in a lemon souffle finish. We enhanced wine's weighty texture and exquisite balance of toasty oak by fermenting juice entirely in small barrels and gently stirring yeast lees during partial (70 percent) malolactic fermentation and sur lie barrel aging. We selected a combination of French, American and Hungarian barrels to add an array of oak nuances.

Effusive aromas greet the nose in this finely crafted Riesling. Fragrant jasmine and flinty mineral perch atop a sweet peach core and captivating flavors align in perfect balance of ripe summer fruit held aloft by a vibrant mineral quality and a bite of green apple on the palate.
