Pros As a collector of FRS radios, I love it! FM Stereo and AM too!
Cons Your first FRS radios should really have CTCSS subchannels but...

Pros Good interface and fairly simple to use. The retractable antenna is great. Nice backlit...
Cons Fairly heavy (mostly batteries though). The speaker/phones jack cover is hard to snap in...

We do alot of outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking) so these are great for communicating between the slow ones and the fast ones.
