Compaq Armada E500 - built like a tank! and better than the rest.

Pros 10 year old laptops are better than the new cheaply made ones.
Cons A bit heavy - due to the fact of it's superior construction.
Recommended it? Yes

They certainly don't build laptops like they used to. After 10 years my Dell Inspiron 3500 finally bit the dust, so I had to re-enter the market to purchase a new laptop.
The Dell died in December 2006 - so just before the launch of Microsoft Vista.

I dug through the rubble of my beachfront apartment on three separate occasions, but could never find a trace of my Dell Dimension 4700 series PC. Pros Great for basic and general web support and downloading.
Cons The frame isn't too sturdy.
