10 year old laptops are better than the new cheaply made ones.
Cons
A bit heavy - due to the fact of it's superior construction.

Yes
They certainly don't build laptops like they used to. After 10 years my Dell Inspiron 3500 finally bit the dust, so I had to re-enter the market to purchase a new laptop.
The Dell died in December 2006 - so just before the launch of Microsoft Vista.
