Pros Really does the job, even in a large Room
Cons Filters are expensive
Recommended it? Yes

My father in law is a very heavy smoker. Since he visits us frequently (at least once a week) we have decided to invest in an air filter/purifier. We simply don't have the guts to ask this wonderful man to smoke on the front porch or outside.

Pros Cheap price
Cons Doesnt work, attracts dirt to furnishings.
Recommended it? No

I bought this unit to put in my small home office, 8x8, to keep dust down and eliminate my smoking odors.

The unit was fairly cheap, $60 at Walmart, and it had an ionizer built in, so I bought it.

Needless to say, I didnt expect much from a small unit, and its a good thing.

Cons Noisy; not effective in large rooms; not effective for severe allergies.

I live in Central Texas, which means that I'm subjected to various types of pollen allergies for at least half the year.
