I purchased 2 of the Kenmore 75051 Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioners to replace the 22 year old Kenmores currently in my daughters Rooms. I primarily selected these for the size price & effeciency. Pros Inexpensive, powerful, fairly efficient
Cons Somewhat noisy.
Recommended it? Yes

We moved to MN from CA a few years back and never bothered to get any A/C for our 90+ year-old house. It has radiant heat, so Central A/C was not viable. I put ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and we used window fans during the summer.
