Even more fun than the old Spider-Man platform games

byHawgWyld Jan 8, 2003
54 Helpfuls 55 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Visually and musically beautiful; Spider-Man's moves are created well; dandy action
Cons Too short; the final level is a needless chore; port of a PS1 game?
Recommended it? Yes

You know, that old theme from the Spider-Man cartoon always bothered me. You know the one. It's famous:

Spider-Man
Spider-Man
Does whatever a spider can

Actually, that little ditty is misleading as hell because Spider-Man can do much more than a common, household... Read full review »

Cons Controls can be awkward, Camera angles a little funky

Note: Just so that there is no confusion, this review is of the Spiderman game for PlayStation 1, and it came out over a year before the new Spider-Man movie was released. There is a new Spider-Man game for PlayStation 2, but this review is of an older one.

Pros Reduced learning curve, more natural controls, Dreamcast controller-friendly
Cons Pixilated characters, odd background music
Recommended it? Yes

Since this is my 50th review, which is something of a milestone for me, I decided to write about a game that is near and dear to my heart, and the game that primarily got me to buy a Dreamcast in the first place: Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Now, I have a soft spot in my heart for Capcom fighters,... Read full review »

I got it for Psylocke's breasts, I kept it for the game play.

Pros great action, lots of options, tons of characters
Cons sissy music.
Recommended it? Yes

The Sega Dreamcast sure had a hard time selling systems back in the year 2000 but they sure had some awesome 2D fighting games. One of the best out there was the jam packed Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. The game is famous for having cool secrets to unlock and over 50 different characters to play as from... Read full review »
