Even more fun than the old Spider-Man platform games

byHawgWyld Jan 8, 2003
54 Helpfuls 55 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Visually and musically beautiful; Spider-Man's moves are created well; dandy action
Cons Too short; the final level is a needless chore; port of a PS1 game?
Recommended it? Yes

You know, that old theme from the Spider-Man cartoon always bothered me. You know the one. It's famous:

Spider-Man
Spider-Man
Does whatever a spider can

Actually, that little ditty is misleading as hell because Spider-Man can do much more than a common, household... Read full review »

Pros Great graphics and sound - Stan Lee himself narrates
Cons Controls can be awkward, Camera angles a little funky
Recommended it? Yes

Note: Just so that there is no confusion, this review is of the Spiderman game for PlayStation 1, and it came out over a year before the new Spider-Man movie was released. There is a new Spider-Man game for PlayStation 2, but this review is of an older one.

bySlusy Dec 14, 2001
41 Helpfuls 42 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros An excellent follow-up to Virtua Tennis
Cons Veterans of the series may not find enough new features in the sequel
Recommended it? Yes

With the releases of Nintendo?s GameCube and Microsoft?s Xbox looming near, and the near-total domination of the console market by Sony?s PlayStation2 since its launch last fall, it?s easy to forget about the Dreamcast. In fact, given the quickly shrinking list of Dreamcast games to be released... Read full review »

Sega Tennis 2K2: Not Tennis of The Dead Anymore.

byAlkaiser Dec 14, 2001
31 Helpfuls 32 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Players not part of the undead, create a player mode, women players, more secrets.
Cons Some training modes a bit too wacky.
Recommended it? Yes

For those of you who played one of the gaming world's big surprises of last year, Virtua Tennis, a couple of the biggest complaints were that there were no women tennis players, the people looked deathly pale, and you couldn't use your own tennis player in the training modes.

Well, all of... Read full review »
