The Model 4501 allows shared use of a mobile broadband Internet service from a broad range of cellular service providers and 3G/4G USB modems or tethered smartphones. The 4501 can also share and distribute Internet access from a fixed broadband connection like DSL or cable. A 3G/4G USB modem, tethered smartphone, or Ethernet- equipped modem is plugged into the router and the broadband connection is then shared through either Wireless 802.11n/g/b, or a 10/100 Ethernet connection. Smartphones are charged while tethered.
